Targeted Amex Offer: $250 back on $2,000+ in direct Delta purchases

The credit applies only where Delta is the merchant of record. Qualifying charges include airfare, fare upgrades, seat selection, baggage and standby fees, and Delta Sky Club memberships. The $2,000 threshold is cumulative, so it can be met across multiple transactions, but payment must occur during the offer period.

Excluded purchases include airport transactions where Delta is not merchant of record, onboard food, drinks and Wi-Fi, standalone hotel and car-rental bookings through delta.com, bookings through affiliated agents, Delta Vacations, Delta Cargo and several other Delta services, travel insurance, gift cards and charitable donations. Unlike a prior version that required booking through Amex Travel, this offer requires booking direct with Delta.

Key points

  • Targeted offer; it may not appear for every eligible Amex cardholder.
  • The $2,000 spend requirement can be met across multiple Delta purchases.
  • Flights must originate in the US, and booking must be direct with Delta.

Tip: If the offer is available on your Amex card, book directly with Delta on delta.com, the Fly Delta US app or the US reservation line. Keep total Delta spend at $2,000 or more during the offer period, and avoid Amex Travel or excluded third-party purchases.

Offer ends: 2026-11-30. Check the source for current availability and full terms.

Cards & points

Bilt to end 4% Bilt Cash for new cards in 2027; legacy cardholders can keep it

The reported change splits Bilt cardholders into two tracks. From January 2027, new Bilt cards would earn housing-only rewards at 1.25 points per dollar on rent or mortgage payments. Cardholders who hold a Bilt card as of Dec. 31, 2026 can choose to retain the current structure, including 4% Bilt Cash on everyday purchases alongside Bilt Points. The Points Guy says applicants must apply, be approved and accept the card before Jan. 1 to qualify for grandfathering.

Legacy Palladium cardholders would keep up to $400 in hotel credits, including stacking $100 in Bilt Cash for up to $300 off eligible hotel stays twice a year. The accelerator lets Palladium and Obsidian holders redeem $200 in Bilt Cash for an extra point per dollar on the next $5,000 spent, up to five times a year. TPG says that raises Palladium from 2 to 3 points per dollar and Obsidian from 3 to 4 on groceries up to $25,000 annually or dining; travel goes from 2 to 3 and other purchases from 1 to 2.

Key points

  • Existing Bilt cardholders as of Dec. 31, 2026 can opt out of many 2027 changes and keep 4% Bilt Cash plus Palladium hotel credits, according to The Points Guy.
  • New Bilt cardholders from Jan. 1, 2027 would earn housing-only rewards at 1.25 points per dollar on rent or mortgage payments.
  • The accelerator costs $200 in Bilt Cash and adds one point per dollar on the next $5,000 spent, up to five times per calendar year.

Tip: To retain the legacy structure, apply for a Bilt Palladium or Obsidian card, be approved and accept the offer by Dec. 31, 2026; then verify the account is enrolled in the legacy terms before January 2027.

Offer ends: 2026-12-31. Check the source for current availability and full terms.
